Volunteer service is one of the most meaningful ways to invest in the neuromodulation field — and in your own career.
Applications are accepted annually in February and appointments/reappointments begin in July.

Eligibility
Volunteers must:
- Be a current NANS member in the Active, Early Career, Associate, or Trainee categories.
- Agree to NANS Volunteer Values: mutual respect, confidentiality, accountability, professionalism, innovation, and duty to act in the interest of the organization.
- Be willing to make an annual commitment with possible reappointment (for roles with committee service).
- Limited time? Consider short-term service openings.
Application Process
How it works:
- Review the eligibility requirements.
- Complete the Volunteer Application and submit the Conflict of Interest Disclosure form and your CV. *Applications are currently closed. The open call will take place in early 2027.
- Applicants will receive a confirmation email within two weeks of the application deadline.
- NANS leadership will reviews applications.
- Appointments and reappointments will begin in spring–summer, with assignments announced no later than June.
