POLICIES
Submission Policies
Submission Guidelines & Instructions
Please review the full submission guidelines and the step-by-step screenshot instructions prior to submitting your abstract.
Duplicate Abstracts
Each abstract may be submitted only once and to one category. Ensure all authors agree on a single submitter. Duplicate abstracts will result in automatic rejection of all entries.
Original Research
Abstracts must be based on original research and must not have been previously submitted or published in the same form elsewhere.
If similar data has been presented elsewhere, the submission must include new or updated content — at least one aspect must be new and not publicly disseminated.
Questions can be directed to Kim Stamp at kstamp@neuromodulation.org.
Review Process
All submissions undergo a blinded peer-review process conducted by independent scientific reviewers. Abstracts are evaluated on scientific merit, originality, and relevance to neuromodulation. Final presentation format is at the discretion of the Scientific Program Committee Chairs/Abstract Chairs.
Meeting Expenses
All accepted abstract presenters — including ePoster-only presenters — are responsible for their own meeting registration, travel, housing, and poster printing (if selected for the Paper Poster Session).
Withdrawal of Accepted Abstracts
Requests must be submitted in writing by the Presenting Author to kstamp@neuromodulation.org, including the abstract title and Submission ID. Withdrawal deadline: Monday, January 4, 2027. If the Presenting Author does not confirm participation by the deadline, the abstract is considered withdrawn.
Changing the Presenting Author
Contact kstamp@neuromodulation.org to request a change. For Oral abstracts, the new Presenting Author must comply with ACCME standards. Deadline: Monday, January 4, 2027; changes will not be accepted after this date.
Abstract Publication & Release
Abstract titles and author names will be published in the NANS 2027 online program. Full abstract content will be available in the NANS 2027 meeting app upon launch. Media inquiries should be directed to Jessie Schlacks at jschlacks@neuromodulation.org.
